Maine Consolidated School District is located in Parks, AZ 20 miles outside of Flagstaff, AZ in the beautiful Kaibab Forest within Coconino County.
Teach grades 6-8 (grade 6 homeroom) science in a variety of ways implementing the instructional programs; including working directly with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction. Communication with parents and community members using a high level of active listening, patience, empathy, and teamwork in the forefront of all exchanges. Classroom management, essential elements of instruction and student engagement are components of your educational philosophy and delivery. Professional development and mentoring provided.

Benefits and retirement; classroom site funds are not included in the salary, this is usually an additional $7,500 for teachers who meet the requirements annually. $2500 recruitment; $1500 travel

Job Requirements
- Current Arizona Teaching Certificate or alternative training program to meet AZ certification k-8 or grades 6-12 (by the start date); preferably science
Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
Bachelors degree in elementary or secondary education (by start date) preferably science
Out of state please check Arizona Department of Education Certification Department - Bachelor degree preferred.
