The school bus is the second most safe mode of transportation for children. Read this important info
Hello MCSD Parent(s)/Guardians,
I am writing to formally request your consideration for your student(s) to begin riding the school bus. The MCSD transportation team is committed to delivering a positive experience as well as safe and reliable bus ride for all students.
According to this source https://www.bus.com/blog/safest-mode-of-transportation/, the school bus is the second most safe mode of transportation for children, a staggering 50 times safer than private car travel. MCSD drivers are trained per DPS standards and continuous training and annual monitoring are required. They are expected to act in accordance with strict safety regulations. The safety of your child/children is our utmost top priority.
Here are some of the advantages to allowing your child/children to ride the school bus.
• They get to visit with their peers, make new friendships giving them a sense of responsibility & independence.
• The school bus is a stress-free and convenient option to daily drop-off and pick up for the parents.
• The school bus also will also lessen our school traffic congestion.
Please consider having the MCSD Transportation Department transport your child/children to and from school. If you have any questions about getting your child/children started riding one of our buses. Please give me a call or email at 928-635-2115 Option 4 or thermann@mcsd10.org. I am more than happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have. This letter with the link will be on the MCSD website.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Tiffani Hermann
