School Board and Budgets
Teacher - Mr. Dylan Hearn
students at Maine Consolidated School participate in a comprehensive physical
education and health class throughout the year. Each lesson consists of a warm
up, skill builders, and games/activities using a variety of available equipment
and technology. We work on all five components of fitness throughout the year
(cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility,
and body composition) to meet a rigorous set of state and national standards.
Additionally, 4th – 8th grade students undergo fitness
testing several times throughout the year to measure improvement throughout the
five components of fitness. A lot (not all) of the curriculum I use is from
SPARK PE, a visit to http://www.sparkpe.org will
give you an overview of their curriculum. Additionally, I do my best to keep
Parent Portal updated with resources when available. If anybody has any further
questions about physical education, health, curriculum, sports, or their
specific student please do not hesitate to contact me.
